Today I will blog about KLPAC which I attended last Sunday. I notice a numbers of visitors came in here using the KLPAC Open Day keywords. Hmm… anyway I will do a short coverage on what happened that day. I went with Eri and Hung Wei.

Eventually we was kinda late for the open day. I reach there about 2p.m. where the first few part of the agenda is already over. Anyway, I still enjoy myself there taking photos of the park and get into the idea what is Performing Arts is in the heart of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. Performing arts is widely recognize throughout the world. It gives you a perspective of real-time acting, singing and doing your performances in front of lots of audience. As said, real-time. It needs lots of practice lot’s of commitment, lots of memorizing and lots of courage to be on stage performing.

All this happens only in 1 SHOT. No re-take like what we seen on TV where “cut” and “action” come in place (*I’m talking about performing arts).

Below is some of the photos I’ve taken during the KLPAC Open Day. Hope you guys like it.

Performing on the move. These few performer will perform according to a context. A scene to be precise. So I take the opportunity to have a few shots while they freeze there. Heart Attack!! Play dead.

They sang really well. Thumbs up! Next is Nick Davis and Eri.

Homecoming

Romi and Joolee - I think it’s a Malaysian version of Romeo and Juliet. LoL and what’s up with that scooter?

Tunku - I think I heard lots of publicity on this performance from the radio around last year. Not too sure. But I’m sure it’s good.

Okay. Too many past performances to post. Will post other photos.

Then myself and Hung Wei sneaked in the Main Performing stage which I think it’s suppose to be close. But this stage gave me and eye opening. So colorful the seats!

Then myself and Hung Wei went out for some shots around the park.

And here I am posing in front of the lake. Haha.

Then I got an idea and I took this shot - below - The Brick Wall with the lake

Shot some ducks with 90-300mm f4.5-5.6 USM. Hands a bit shaky. LoL!

Then we went back in to get some air-cond. Cos it was so hot outside.

Ruby and Justin came late. Then we took a photo together.

We hang around indoor then we went out for some shooting again.

So many photos to upload. I think I’ll end the post as for now. After the few photo shoot, we went back and live happily ever after.

This coming Sunday, 27th January 2008, I will be going to KLPAC for thier open day. It is free admission and parking also free! There will be lots of event going on there. Check out their website for more information regarding the open day HERE.

KLPac and the Sentul Park Koi Centre are opening our doors, both front and back, for our OPEN DAY 2008! There will be Backstage tours, Children’s activities, Costume displays, Drama & Dance, Music & Song, Indie films, Arts & Photography. Guess what? I heard that the Young KL Singers is there too. Wonder if Jen Ni will be around there.

Step onto the stage, be a fly on the wall of a rehearsal, get creative in workshops, have a sneak preview of upcoming shows from the people behind the scenes, test your skills in a vocal class, learn about Koi fish, get some tips on designing your own Japanese garden, or just wander at will!

Garrghh! Office here don’t have photoshop. Zzzzz.. have to curi from their website. Haha.

Went to Batu Caves today to feel the Thaipusam celebration. Something new to me, on usual every year I would be sleeping at this time. Anyway, it was a great experience to see people praying and doing their worshiping. Ouch that’s pain with those needle poking the back. I’ll just cut it short and the photos show it all.

It was so crowded.

Pain? Not pain at all. I don’t know man. But I’m not going to do that.

The I saw this cute little boy looking at me. So I shoot him and he smiled. Such a sweetie.

And these guys below, they are pulling another guy with their back.. well, this is how you do that.

After the stairs, I didn’t take photos already. Too crowded and too many people. So sempit till cannot breathe. So I guess, that’s all for Thaipusam.

Would like to climb Batu Caves again for photoshooting. But not during Deepavali or Thaipusam again.
