Visitation to 9th Emperor God’s Temple
Just came back from a visitation to 9th Emperor God’s Temple at Ampang. It was so packed and crowded. Smokes everywhere. How smoky? Imagine 100 people smoking next to you.
Took the opportunity to shoot some of the devotees while they are praying and also my first time ever to get into a Chinese Opera’s backstage. It was really a great experience to be there and to see how a Chinese Opera works.
All shots taken with Canon 400D with Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8. No flash fired.
Here are the photos. Enjoy yah?

That’s all! Hope you guys like it

hmm.. i noticed that you are running f/5.6 throughout all photos in your entry here.. i wonder whats the reason behind this. is this intentional? to get more DOF maybe? hmmmmm…
good entry indeed btw! nice experience.

My birthday actually falls on the same day as 9th Emperor God’s birthday, as in the chinese calendar.. Usually if I’m in KL, I will go to that temple to pray as well. But now no more le.. *sighs* Too far away… :’(

Hugo: yeahh cos i used mostly wide angles, so i shift the aperture to 5.6 to get sharper pic, and also at the same time get some motion blur to create the busy ambient.
Miyakely: There are a lot more photographers.
PP: ohh i see i see…
